About Nozawa Bar

Nozawa Bar is a small and intimate sushi bar experience from Sushi Nozawa.

At Nozawa Bar, our mission is simple: to serve the finest tradition-based omakase sushi meal. Our multi-course experience — primarily nigiri, plus sashimi and hand rolls — features many of the more adventurous sushi items dedicated sushi eaters have come to appreciate.

During the meal, each course is served to all guests at once. The cadence and tempo of the meal have been mindfully created to allow each course to be enjoyed to the fullest.

In 2025, Chef Jay Sada was personally selected by Chef Nozawa, Tom Nozawa, Lele Massimini, and Jerry Greenberg to lead Nozawa Bar as Executive Chef. A trusted friend of Nozawa for nearly 25 years, Chef Sada brings Nozawa Bar into its next chapter.

Policies

Nozawa Bar serves an omakase, or chef’s choice menu. In order to fulfill our commitment to deliver the very best experience for all of our guests, we ask that our guests please understand and respect our policies.

  • We serve each course to all of our guests at the same time. If a guest is late, the chef will not be able to make up the courses that have already been served. Please don’t be late.
  • We cannot accommodate any changes to our dishes or provide any substitutions. If a guest prefers not to eat a dish for any reason, including dietary restrictions or personal preference, they can simply ask to be skipped for that course; the price of the meal will not be adjusted. Please note that we regularly serve uni, oysters, octopus, crab, lobster, sweet shrimp and squid, and on many days we serve all of them.
  • Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate people who are vegetarian, gluten-free or do not eat rice or vinegar; please do not make a reservation if you have one of these dietary restrictions. Please understand that if you do reserve and inform us of this when you arrive, we will not be able to serve you and there will be a cancellation fee.
  • If you do have a food allergy, please let us know when you arrive at Nozawa Bar.
  • An 18% fee will be added to your bill.  This is not a gratuity or tip.  We are a no-tipping establishment. The fee is revenue that is not segmented or designated in any way; it is taxed per state law and is used to fund all of our operations.
  • Corkage of outside wine or sake is not allowed.
  • Please, no outside food or drink.
  • Nozawa Bar can accommodate only guests who have confirmed reservations; no infants are permitted.
